Online spaces should be a force for good, yet they are often exploited to spread hate, disinformation, and anonymous attacks. To help individuals and organizations navigate these challenges, CCDH has launched Digital & Information Resilience Training – a free, tailored session designed to equip participants with the knowledge and strategies needed to strengthen their resilience against online hate and disinformation. This resilience training can help you to stay more confident and focused when surrounded by the overwhelming noise and confusion that people encounter online.

Why Digital and Information Resilience Matters

Hate and disinformation are amplified by social media platform algorithms that prioritize profits over truth and safety. To understand what drives social media, we need to recognize its financial underpinnings, how its technology works to show us content, and how to properly respond to online hate and trolling attacks. We explore these topics in several of our past works, including ‘Don’t Feed The Trolls’, and ‘Hidden Hate’.

What Our Training Offers

We provide a practical and interactive training session that will give you actionable skills and deeper insights into:

  • How social media algorithms work to show us what we encounter online, and how those same processes can spread hate and disinformation to vast audiences.
  • The business model of social media companies and how financial motivations have societal impacts.
  • How to respond to online hate and deal with online trolls, using strategies informed by our research.
  • How to build information resilience, including best practices for responsible content sharing and engagement.
  • Guidance for parents and educators on the advice to give to kids about their social media use.

Our training is fully customizable, ensuring that each session addresses your unique concerns. CCDH has given trainings to civil society groups, school age groups, public sector organizations, and individuals facing online harassment.

Secure Your Training

We invite organizations to take advantage of this opportunity and explore how CCDH’s training can be tailored to specific needs. Whether your focus is countering identity-based hate, tackling online disinformation, or supporting young people in digital spaces, we are here to help.
